Want to help but not interested in tutoring?

Literacy Volunteers of Collier County has many opportunities in which you can participate and volunteer according to your schedule, interest, and skills. For example:  Do you enjoy meeting people?  We need Ambassadors/Receptionists

Do you enjoy office work?  We always need volunteers to help our staff with administrative support (typing, copying, mailings, filing, answering telephones, taking messages etc.)

Interested in fundraising and/or marketing?  As a non-profit, LVCC needs to raise critical funding to help support our programs. We welcome your help in grant writing, our annual appeal, writing newsletter articles, brochure development and other important activities.

Do you have artistic skills?  We need the skills of a graphic arts designer to help with our newsletters, brochures, and website and other social media.

Do you have computer skills and like to work with people?  Volunteers oversee our Interactive Computer Laboratory to assist students using the self paced learning programs.

Interested in organizing our library?  We are looking for volunteers to keep our library materials organized and up-to-date

All volunteers are required to keep track of the time that they devote to the LVCC.  This information is needed when applying for grants, seeking donations, and for our annual report.

Please contact LVCC’s Program Director at 239 262-4448 Ext 304 to learn more about volunteer opportunities to promote literacy.
